The space adventure of the tardigrades

There are currently 12 people in space. The number of those who have already travelled to space — including astronauts, cosmonauts and tourists — is about 600. These are figures as of August 2024.
To add to these people, one must include other living beings. Laika, the first animal — a little dog — to orbit the Earth is probably well known, but tardigrades may be less familiar.
